I just wrote this on Facebook, but decided to post it as well. Jake and I will be having a baby and I'm due June 6th. We went to our first ultrasound last week and saw the little heart beat going. It was AMAZING! After that we felt like we could start telling people since we really knew that something was there. We are both very excited and can't wait! I have been really lucky too because I haven't really been too sick. I had one week last month where I never felt good, but since then I have been great. Of course there are a few times where I don't feel great, but I have definitely been lucky. So yeah, I just wanted to share the news.

Halloween
So Jake and I had 2 hours before we went to a Halloween party and still had no idea what to dress up as. We wondered around WalMart for a little while before we decided to dress up as Gothics. We had tattoo sleeves and lots of dark makeup. I have to admit that I was even a little scared of Jake, but here are some pictures so you can see for yourselves. Some people from church threw the party and we had a lot of fun while we were there.

Also, we were driving home the other night and saw a dead deer tied up and dangling from a tree. Welcome to Dodgeville...how weird is that?

My New Niece Emma
UTAH
I know that I have been super lazy, but I finally decided about my trip to Utah a couple weeks ago. My dad flew me out as a birthday present so that I could meet my new niece Kara. I got there on a Saturday night and my mom, dad, and sister Brooke picked me up. We went right to Kellie's house so that I could see cute little Kara. Alli and her boyfriend Nick showed up so we had fun visiting. And I LOVE my little Kara....she is so beautiful. While I was in town I got to be the baby hog and it was so much fun.
Kara had here blessing on Sunday and she looked so cute in her blessing clothes. After church we went to Kellie and Dustin's for ham and cheesy potatoes...so yummy!!! Here is a cute picture of her and her aunt.

I spent a lot of time hanging out with my family, but was able to see some friends too. I got to see my hair stylist, Jenni, and we decided that I would go dark again and I seriously love it! I went to Cafe Rio for lunch with Maddie and Audra and we had so much fun catching up. I also got to see Brandon and Meredith and they were nice enough to let me tag along with them to a soccer game so that I would have to sit around Provo for a couple hours before I met some other friends for dinner. I met up with my Freshman year roommates at CPK (it's a tradition). I loved hearing about their wonderful lives and it was just so good to see them. Kathryn brought her little Cole and he is adorable! I miss them all already!!!
I was also able to help throw a baby shower for my sister Brooke since she was getting ready to adopt a baby. It was a lot of fun and I can't wait to meet her baby! On Friday, while Kellie got her hair done I was able to babysit Kara for a little while by myself and then my mom came home and helped. It was fun to have a little bonding time with just me and her.I had so much fun the whole time I was in Utah and was sad to see my week fly by. Spending time with my family was so great, but I was glad to get home to my Jake. He picked me up from the airport and was all dressed up and had some beautiful flowers for me!!! It was so cute and I was so happy to see him. Here are the pretty flowers he gave me.

Catching Up!!!
So I thought I better catch up since a few things have happened over the past week. Last Friday we had a BBQ with some of the younger couples in the ward. After we ate the boys went and played video games and the girl's sat around and talked. I thought it was funny because it just happened. Well at least I thought is was funny. On Saturday we drove to Chicago and went to the temple! I love going to the temple. Even though we have to drive 3 hours to get there it is totally worth it. The peace it brings is amazing and it's just awesome to feel the spirit so strong there. After the temple we went to our friends, Bryce and Camille's house. Jake went golfing with some guys and Camille and I spent a couple hours in the kitchen getting food ready for the BYU game. A bunch of their friends came over and we had Cafe Rio while watching the game. The Cafe Rio was delicious, but the game was terrible. We were all seriously depressed toward the end. Bryce and Camille where nice enough to let us spend the night since the game ended late. We left really early in the morning so that we could make it to church and teach primary. It was a good weekend!
Wednesday was my Birthday!!! I turned 23 and I feel old! Jake bought me Mario Party for the Wii and I played that for a couple hours while he went to work. Then he came home to eat lunch with me. He left work early and we drove to Chicago to meet his dad, he was there for a work thing, for dinner. It took us an extra hour to get there because of the traffic. I was driving and by the time we got to the hotel I was not happy. But Jake's dad took us to Moreton's, a nice steak house, and it was AMAZING! It was the best steak I have ever had!!! I had enough left for dinner the next night and it was just as good. It was nice to see Jake's dad and we had a lot of fun talking with him. It was also our first time in Downtown Chicago and it was beautiful! We were there when it was dark so all the lights were on and it looked really cool. I also found out that my sister who is adopting will be getting a little baby girl in a month! I am so excited for her and I can't wait to meet the little one. It's still kind of scary though because the mother can always back out, but we're praying that she doesn't. Other than that not much has been going on, just working and hanging out.

Jake's Birthday Weekend
Friday was Jake's 25th Birthday! So we started by having him open his presents and then I made Chorizo and eggs, potatoes, and homemade tortillas. Then he headed off to work. At lunch I took him his lunch, I purposely forgot when I dropped him off, and took cupcakes. Of course I totally embarrassed him by making him take the cupcakes around to all his co-workers and basically tell them it was his birthday. I know that he secretly liked it because no one would have known it was his birthday if I hadn't done it. Then we went and played some Volleyball. I picked him up after work and we went home to have his favorite dinner, lasagna. Then I finished getting ready for his party. We had a few friends over for some AMAZING ice-cream dessert. It has an oreo crust, a layer of mint chocolate chip ice-cream, a layer of fudge, another layer of mint chocolate chip ice-cream, another layer of fudge, and then topped off with cool whip (I got the recipe from Lindsey....thanks!). We had a lot of fun and I think he had a pretty good day.
On Saturday we headed to Wisconsin Dells. It is one of the coolest places I have been. The whole city is filled with water parks and theme parks. My sister Kellie just told me that is has the most waterparks in the U.S. It was really cool driving around because you felt like it was one HUGE amusement park. My work had a party at Mt. Olympus water and theme park where we got parking, admission, and food for free. Unfortunately I didn't check the weather and we ended up buying some sweatshirts because it was so cold. We also missed out on the water park part because of the weather, but we had fun on the go carts, bumper cars, and other rides. We only stayed a few hours and then headed to some Outlet stores we saw on the way there. We both got a new pair of pants, which were badly needed, and a new top. We headed home and finished off the day by watching "Dance With Me" with Vanessa Williams.

The Best 2 Years!
Sunday was our 2 year anniversary!!! 2 years! I really can't believe it, but at the same time it feels so natural and like we've always been together. Of course there has been crying, frustration, anger and hard times, but the most memorable times have been the ones with laughter, cuddling, triumph, and love.
So we decided to celebrate on Saturday and started off the day making pancakes and eggs together. Later we went to see the Time Travelers Wife. It was pretty good and of course, I cried.

Since I got to pick the movie, Jake picked where we went to dinner. So we went to Sushi Box. I'm not a fan of Sushi (I got teriyaki chicken, which was delicious), but Jake had been dying to have it since he hasn't had it since we were in Utah. After dinner we went to Michael's Frozen Custard. It was AMAZING!!! If there was one in Dodgeville I might go every day. Overall it was a very fun and relaxing day and I was just happy to spend some time with my wonderful hubby.
